Dead Tree Graveyard
These eight drawings make up the Dead Tree Graveyard Series: a particular place of natural and human-made beauty that unexpectedly I came upon, but now no longer exists.
In them, I was synthesizing my interest in things magical and psychological– referring also to atmosphere, space, ambiance, and ambiguity. For me these drawings are intermediaries intended to transmit some of those powerful impressions to the viewer– perhaps transporting them there.
The Dead Tree Graveyard Series was a year's-long endeavor, which culminated the group BFA graduation exhibition.
